For Anthony Paradis, it all started at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games. As the titular theme of Schindler’s List rang out across the ice, Yulia Lipnitskaya began her free skate program. She wore a bright red costume, an homage to a young character from the Steven Spielberg film. The Russian prodigy was only fifteen at the time, and with her rosy cheeks and wide eyes, looked not much older than the girl in the red coat to which she was paying homage.Â
